Compared to mining Pyroxers in a covetor. You pull about an extra 5 mil an hour in the hulk (ll 5's) compared to a covetor.
That.s a lot of mining.
So when you get in your Hulk and get ganked for hulkogheddon don't say Uncle Cipher didn't warn you. We now return you to your regularly scheduled **** poast. |

So when you get in your Hulk and get ganked for hulkogheddon don't say Uncle Cipher didn't warn you. I don't quite understand your point but would say your 50 hours are off. At the moment a can of veldspar is worth about 7 mill isk putting it above kernite in value per can. It's been a long time since I mined in a hulk with fleet/orca bonuses but when I did I'm pretty sure I was pullling at least 4 cans an hour. Let's assume I'm wrong and it was 3 cans that's 21 mill an hour and your hulk is paid for in around 16 hours and if I'm right 4 cans an hour gives you 28 mill and the hulk is paid for in about 12 hours. Either of those is no where near your over exaggerated 50 hours.. V.
I am comparing mining pyroxers in a hulk with all 5's to a covetor with all 5's. Pyroxers are currently the best hisec belt roids (not anomaly/plex). You make aprox. 5.2 mil an hour more in a hulk than a covetor.
If you switched from an all 5 covetor to an all 5 hulk, it would take you 50+ hours to make the price difference.
Turns out it wasnt exaggerated at all.
Just putting the information out there for all the miners and gankers.
The miners so they can protect their wallets (they wont), and the gankers so they can enjoy the tears more.
Because knowing is 1/2 the battle.

Problems solved.
Zero percent chance of aligning saving you if I am the one ganking. Just saying. We now return you to your regularly scheduled **** poast. |

So when you get in your Hulk and get ganked for hulkogheddon don't say Uncle Cipher didn't warn you. Have you not mined lately? Trit and other materials are now 2 to 3 times more expensive then they were a few months ago. Means you make about 15 mil to 30 mil an hour depending on your skills by just sitting their afk all day killing a rock that doesn't move. I think isk is getting too easy to make these days. Back in my day hulks cost 400 mill so I wouldn't be complaining about the cost to replace a hulk. But I would be happy to gank it for you. We take a loss too and its just for the kill mail. I can't wait for inferno when they get rid of the dang popup windows that warn you, that you are ganking somebody with no way to turn them off. Finally fixing that in inferno. I'd rather not fight the UI to play a game feature and mechanic.
I clearly mine more than some people read, and I used reading as a prerequisite to mining.

I've been chased plenty of times by some determined gankers. You're no different. Except you look better.
Not with my "neutral alt" SB bumping you you wont.

So when you get in your Hulk and get ganked for hulkogheddon don't say Uncle Cipher didn't warn you. Try mining high end ore in your high end mining ship. What you're doing is basically like complaining about how long it takes to pay for a marauder doing level 1 missions.

Xercodo wrote:Based on dodixie mineral prices you can make almost 20 mill an hour on mining pyroxeres (these numbers are a couple days old though)
Hulk is a little more then 300 mill atm
It takes a bit more then 15 hours of pyro to make a hulk back. OP fails
Oh and also these numbers are using T1 ships with exhummer 3, T2 strips with crystals and exhummer 4 or 5 does even better.
Lol, you're daft, and my math is spot on. We now return you to your regularly scheduled **** poast. |

Whitehound wrote:Ciar Meara wrote:Yeah, it takes actual effort and risk to pay for the stuff in EVE. You can go afk ratting or mission running with a few ships. PI, research, production, trade and transport are also pretty risk free. Miners are victims and everyone knows it. A mining ship makes you a victim the moment you undock with it. There is no other way to describe it. Why is there still a need to debate this? Hulkageddon would not be possible if it was not so.
open overview settings. select load Default "PvP" observe that mining barges and exhumers are now visible.
Clearly, they are PvP ships.
